The quality of the products produced by Marijampolės pieno konservai UAB complies with the Lithuanian, EU, and CIS standards.
The compliance of the company’s activity with the requirements of the Quality Management (ISO 9001), Environmental Management (ISO 14001) and Food Safety (ISO 22000) standards allows for ensuring the safety and quality of the products produced by the company and subsequently supplied to the consumers. An integrated food safety, quality and environmental management system (IMS) certified in 2005 is implemented in the company. We always strive for our production activities to have the smallest possible impact on the environment.
The company’s laboratory constantly performs microbiological, physical and chemical tests of raw materials, technological processes and the produced products, thus ensuring high quality and safety of our products.
The HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system implemented at Marijampolės pieno konservai UAB ensures that all activities that have an effect on food safety are controlled. According to the requirements of this system, the risk at every stage of the technological process, from the collection of raw materials to the distribution of the produced products, is identified and preventive measures are applied to eliminate any physical, chemical or microbiological risk or reduce it to an acceptable level. Self-control programmes for the management of factors that can indirectly affect the technological process and product safety are implemented at the company. Such factors include the staff, tools, working methods and working environment.
In 1998, after the implementation of the HACCP system, the parent company based in Marijampolė was granted a veterinary number and the right to export its products to the EU Member States. In 1999, a veterinary number was granted to the powdered milk production unit.
The compliance of canned milk, butter and powdered milk production with ISO 22000 food safety system standard is proved by means of certificates.
